The Captain Must Agree to the Statement Below:
I, the undersigned captain of one of the boats in the 2010 Maine Hunter Sailing Flotilla, understand that the safe navigation of my vessel and the safety of my crew is my responsibility.  I cannot abrogate that responsibility or assign it to the Maine Hunter Sailing Association or to any of the officials of the organization.  I understand that the role of the sponsors and co-sponsors of this flotilla is to organize the cruise and suggest ports of call and mooring possibilities and activities ashore, but not to dictate where to moor or dock, or to dictate the dates and times for departing the various ports, or to dictate the route between ports.  I, as captain, will make all navigation decisions and understand that I am not obligated to sail with the flotilla if I am not comfortable with sailing conditions.
I have read and understand the Captain's Statement.
